NEW HOMES - FINAL INSPECTIONSIf you are having a new home built, you should avail yourself or our final inspection service.
The inspection takes place before final payment is made to the builder. It is normally carried out with you and the builder present, and provides a list of defects to be completed prior to issue of the Practical Completion Certificate by the builder. The list covers things you may not be happy about as well as the things we find. We pay particular attention to items that could lead to potential problems in later years, particularly to the foundations. After moving in, if you notice further maintenance items, you must make a list and provide it to the builder just prior to the expiry of 90 days after the date of the Final Certificate. |
